Employed with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavior Neurobiology/ Community Corrections for (21) years.  Served as a Case Manager with the Community Corrections / Reentry Program.

 

Education:

BA degree from Berea College, Berea, Kentucky. 

Licensed Social worker with the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners.

Community Involvement:

Volunteer with the  West Pavilion UAB Gift Shop 

Volunteer Sunday School teacher and family Coordinator at Our Lady of Fatima 

Volunteer with the Page Pal Program with the Birmingham City School System and adopt class program

Delegate for Neighborhood, USA, Little Rock Arkansas and Washington, DC

Volunteer with the NICU Family Support Program at UAB

Philosophy of Life:

“Life is like a Camera.  Focus on what’s important. Capture the Good times ( have fun). Develop from the negatives.  Take another shot if things don’t work out.   Never let anyone tell you what you aren’t able to achieve.  Remember it isn’t how fast you enter the race, but how you finish the race”.
