Lori's message to senior women:

My message to senior women is to be kind and love yourself.
The most important thing a senior woman can do for herself is self-care and know her self worth. Sometimes as a wife, mother and grandmother, we take care of everyone else and often forget about ourselves. I encourage women that no matter their age, they are beautiful, important, and loved.

Lori's philosophy of life:

My Philosophy of life is to be kind.
A simple act of kindness or a smile can make someone’s day.
You never know what someone is going through, a smile may be just what they need to brighten their day.
Working in mental health, I have learned that being nice, no matter what, makes a world of difference to someone when they are feeling down or going through something difficult.
As the great Dolly Parton says, “if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours!”
And who doesn’t take Dolly’s advice?

Elegance and Inner Beauty

Helen's message to senior women:

I want senior women to know that true beauty is the story we have lived, and the story is not over. Never fear turning to the next page.

Helen's philosophy of life:

I saw a cartoon recently that struck me as being very thought-provoking, and true. Charlie Brown and Snoopy are pictured looking at a sunset, and Charlie said, “We only live once, Snoopy”. Snoopy replied, “Wrong. We only die once. We live every day."

As I pondered the cartoon, I thought how it reflected my philosophy of life. My philosophy is “Live, Light, and Love”. Live every day. Let the light into your life, and let it guide your love.

Light is ever present, even in what appears to be darkness. At night the moon provides light, as the sun does in the day, but the guiding light of our lives is ever present and not dependent upon the sun or moon for its existence. It is the light of the Holy Spirit, always present and always guiding our lives as we live every day.

The light and the joy of living will allow the love to flow from us to the people around us and the endeavors we engage in. From life and light love flows naturally with no effort on our part.

My philosophy of life is pretty simple and summed up nicely by Charlie Brown and Snoopy; We live every day so live it to the fullest; absorb the light of the Holy Spirit and let that light shine His love through you to everyone and everything you touch.
Live, light, and love. My philosophy of life.
