Ms. Senior Alabama, Inc. is proud to provide an opportunity for inter-generational activities through the presentation
of a college scholarship. The recipient will be a high school woman from the county/entity represented by the reigning
Ms. Senior Alabama.
Once a new Ms. Senior Alabama is crowned, scholarship application packages are mailed to the Senior Advisors of
the county/entity represented by the new Ms. Senior Alabama.
Edwina Chappell, representing Ms. Senior Trussville was crowned Ms. Senior Alabama 2008. The 2009 application
packets will be mailed to Senior Advisors of all Jefferson County High Schools.
Judging for the scholarship is based on academic and activity performance, financial need and a written essay on
a senior adult woman who has been a significant role model in the applicant's life.
The annual scholarship is awarded at the following year's pageant. |
